Sylvie Literacy Consulting Program Terms and Conditions Agreement

I agree to the following:

Services

a) The educator agrees to provide literacy tutoring services as specified in the agreed-upon plan.

b) Sessions will be conducted in accordance with the scheduled appointments.

Schedule and Rescheduling

a) The schedule will be mutually agreed upon by both parties.

b) Rescheduling requests must be submitted with a minimum notice of 24 hours. Please be aware that rescheduling may not always be feasible. If rescheduling is not possible, you are still obligated to cover the cost of the missed session.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Missed Sessions

a) If a session is missed without prior notice of at least 24 hours, the session fee will be charged in full unless there are extraordinary circumstances.

Vacation and Illness

b)If you or your child is unable to attend due to vacation or illness, the session fee is still required. This policy ensures that your spot remains reserved.

Extraordinary Circumstances

c) If extraordinary circumstances arise (e.g., emergencies), please notify me as soon as possible. Decisions about refunds or rescheduling will be at my discretion.

Tutor-Initiated Cancellations

If the tutor must cancel a session, the session will either be rescheduled at a mutually agreed-upon time or the client will not be charged for that session.

Termination of Services

a) If you wish to cancel or discontinue tutoring sessions, a written notice must be provided at least 30 days in advance. This notice ensures proper scheduling for other students and the tutor's ability to maintain a balanced workload. Without a 30-Day Notice: If cancellation occurs without a full 30 days' notice, the client will be responsible for paying for the sessions scheduled within the 30-day period.

b) In the case of non-compliance with the terms and conditions, services may be terminated immediately

Duration of Sessions

a) Each session will have a predetermined duration, as outlined in the plan.

Fees and Payments

Payment is due on the 1st of each month for all scheduled sessions that month. Payment ensures the reserved spot in my schedule, regardless of attendance.

a)The agreed-upon fees for services are outlined in the payment agreement.

b) An invoice will be emailed to you at the beginning of each month. Payments can be submitted via e-transfer to: sylvielitteratie@gmail.com. Payments must be received within 15 days of the date of the invoice being issued.

Late payment policy

If invoices fall into arrears (beyond 15 days), parents-caregivers must be in contact with me within 10 days to discuss the outstanding balance and make payment arrangements. Once an invoice falls beyond 30 days (i.e., 30 days overdue) we may refuse to provide services until payment arrangements have been made to the satisfaction of Sylvie Literacy Consulting.

Student's Responsibilities

a) The student agrees to actively participate in sessions and complete assigned tasks.

b) Regular attendance is expected, and missed sessions may affect progress.

Parental Involvement

a) Parents or guardians are encouraged to stay informed about their child's progress.

b) Feedback and communication between the tutor and parents are essential.

Progress Tracking

a) The educator will provide periodic progress reports as agreed upon with the parents.

b) Adjustments to the plan may be made based on the student's progress.

Confidentiality

All information shared during sessions, including student progress and assessment results, will be kept confidential.

Code of Conduct

Respectful and professional behavior is expected from both the tutor and the student.

Amendments

Any changes or amendments to this agreement must be in writing and agreed upon by both parties.

By engaging in French Literacy Tutoring Services, both parties acknowledge their understanding and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
